The Chilean soprano Alyson Rosales studied voice at the University of Chile and graduated with distinction from the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 2023.
Alyson Rosales is the recipient of numerous awards. In 2021, she won the Music Prize of the Lions Club Schlossgarten Stuttgart and the first prize at the 26th Concorso Internazionale Gianluca Campochiaro. She also earned the fourth prize at the Competizione dell’Opera Sochi 2019, fifth prize at the II Neapolitan Masters Competition, and the Gold Medal at the 4th Manhattan International Music Competition. Additionally, she received the Audience Award at the Nuits Lyriques de Marmande in 2018 and was a semifinalist at the International Competition Neue Stimmen in 2019.
In her home country of Chile, Alyson claimed the first prize, the Audience Award, and the Best Chilean Performer Prize at the XLV Concurso Internacional Dr. Luis Sigall. She also won the first prize and the Best Chilean Interpretation Award at the III Mujeres en la Música Competition (NMWA Chile). In 2023, she was nominated as one of the 100 Women Leaders in Chile.
In December 2023 and 2024, she performed as a soloist in the Symphonic Christmas Concert at the Berliner Philharmonie with the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin, conducted by Stanley Dodds.
In July 2022, Alyson Rosales made her debut at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires in the “Grandes Intérpretes” concert series, where she was presented by Javier Camarena as a “rising talent.” She also performed as a soloist at the 51st Semanas Musicales de Frutillar Festival at Teatro del Lago.
On the operatic stage, she made her debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2023, performing as the Prima Cercatrice in Suor Angelica and the First Voice in Turandot. Also in 2023, she debuted as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore at the Schlosshof Weikersheim in a production by Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland, conducted by Fausto Nardi and directed by Jakob Peters-Messer. Previously, she portrayed Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi at the Berlin Opera Academy in 2020 and performed as the First Elf in Rusalka at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl in 2019.
On the concert stage, Alyson Rosales boasts a diverse repertoire. She has performed works including Mozart’s Requiem, Vesperae solennes de confessore, and Piccolomini-Messe; Vivaldi’s Magnificat; J.S. Bach’s Magnificat; Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana; and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem.
She has participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Javier Camarena, Elly Ameling, Margreet Honig, Inge Borkh, Peter Berne, Kamal Khan, Eduardo Jimenez, Bernardo Villalobos, and Abbie Fumansky. Alyson is a scholarship recipient of the Amigos del Teatro Municipal de Chile Foundation, the Ibañez Atkinson Foundation (FIA), NMWA Chile, the Rotary Foundation in Stuttgart, and the International Richard Wagner Association (2018).
